DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT


This is a two years project (01.09.2014 – 31.08.2016)  to meet the needs of supported employment for people with ID by training people who can work as job coaches. Another words, this project is aimed in short term to train job coaches for the employment of people with ID, and in long term training trainers of job coaches who can work in the open market.


To fulfill the requirements, although we as the key persons from Turkish group already had some information regarding to supported employment through a workshop given by Mr. Christy Lynch from KARE (Promotion Inclusion for People with Intellectual Disabilities), Ireland as an  independent external expert  and the instructor, the first step of the project was to   organize a workshop on job coaching for the participants from the National and European partners.

The second step is structure an  elective course curriculum in English and in native languages of the partner countries, open for all the students in the partner countries’ universities.

The third step of the project was to submit a transnational book on supported employment from the partner countries perspectives, as well as a training module booklet to guide the job coaches will be working in the open market with the people with ID.
