SYMPOSIUM

A symposium titled with ‘Job Coaching Training: Place, Train, Maintain for people with ID’  will be performed in Yeditepe University between  the July 14-16, 2016 for sharing the experiences  achieved from the project. The project manager Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Faculty of Health Sciences, Yeditepe University (Yeditepe Group), and the project partners  Alexander Technological Educational Institute Thessaloniki, Greece (Greek Group), Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Jozefa Pilsudskiego w Warszawie, (Polish Group) and The Association of  Down’s Syndrom, Turkey (Down Turkey) will be sharing their knowledge and experience on the status of people with ID supported employment.


        The partners will be contributing the symposium with oral presentations and keynote speakers for sharing expectations and job coaching status in their countries with an international glance. The planned Symposium Program by the partner countries include presentations  of the members of the partners regarding to the needs  of the job coaching   from an international perspective including the social and emotional  status of the people with ID already employed or will be employed during or fallowing  the project term.


                The other important aspects of the Symposium Program are the keynote presentations of Mr. Christy Lynch from KARE (Promotion Inclusion for People with Intellectual Disabilities), Ireland as an  independent external expert  and the instructor. He will be heading the case study presentations of the students as well as the graduates who already had the job coaching trainings as the Yeditepe, Polish and Greek Groups, as well as  Down Turkey. We expect them to be highly interactive  presentations with the feedbacks of Mr. Christy Lynch.
